Move Up With Your Downlines
There are two types of direct sales programs. There are single level or multi-level compensation plans. Multi-level direct sales companies use downlines to increase sales and your position in the company. Learn how building your downlines equals moving up in direct sales.
Downlines are the business partners that you bring into your business. As you increase this number, you’ll increase your commission percentage. Most multi-level direct sales compensation plans have sales reps earning money on the products that they and their associates are selling to their respective customers.
So as you grow and build relationships with customers, they’ll become repeat customers. At any time, any of your customers may take an interest in beginning their own direct sales business. As a consultant and business owner, you would mentor and guide them through the process of getting started.
You’ll show them the ins and outs of the business, share your strategies for getting more sales and turning a profit. You’re happy to help – not because it’s part of what you do in a multi-level company, but because you believe in your products and you’re successful in direct sales.
As a joyful result, you’re building solid, long-term downlines. All of these new direct sales business owners will invite more business associates, partly with the strategies that you’ve given them and partly with a few of their own. They’ll also find success as they bring in and mentor others.
Every downline will move up your earning potential. That is one perk of doing good business. Each direct selling company’s requirements for moving up through the ranks are different. Some plans are based on the number of people that you invite to join your business, while others use the amount of total gross sales to move you up a level. Check your company literature and be sure you understand clearly how advancement is achieved in your direct sales business.
Another part of your earning potential in direct sales is getting people to purchase your products. It’s going to be a harder sell if you’re not completely committed to the products you’re selling. To move higher in commissions and sales while increasing your downlines, you must have a belief in your products and your company. But, you are not alone. For your downlines to remain solid, they must also have the same belief and commitment level that you do.
It’s not easy to move up in the direct sales business, but if you work on creating your downlines and help others create more downlines, you can do move up successfully in any company.
